Group #1 of 16 travelers, group leader is Dr. Randy Hurley, departs MSP on Delta and United flights.   Group consists of 4 single males and 12 single females. 
Sunday,      January 13
Group of 16 arrives in Dar Es Salaam on flights Delta   160 and United 9764 at 22:05 and 22:45.  Travel to Wista’s for O/N.  (Travel Coordinator [Jan] confirmed reservations on 11/8/2018 with Nixon - 8 twin rooms for 2 nights.  Reconfirmed all Wista’s reservations for this group with Nixon on December 26).

Recovery day in DAR.  Tour ASAID and see other sites in DAR.  O/N Wista’s 
Tuesday,     January 15
Travel to Ilula, O/N in housing arranged in Ilula
Wednesday, January 16
Medical Mission Trip work begins, O/N Ilula
Thursday,   January 17
Medical Mission Trip work continues.  Gustavus Adolphus J Term group visits Ilula in the a.m. and attends morning devotions, then receives tour and overview of Shoulder to Shoulder initiatives, coordinated  by Dr. Randy Hurley.  O/N Ilula
Friday,        January 18
Medical Mission Trip work continues.  For all new participants, DIRA Overview at Diocese Headquarters in Iringa at 9 a.m.  Swahili language class for group at 2:30 p.m., O/N Ilula

Medical Mission Trip work continues, O/N Ilula

Medical MIssion Trip work continues for 1st group.  O/N Ilula. 

Second group is 10 travelers, leader is Dr. Ken Olson, 8 of whom depart MSP on Delta 160.  Total group consists of 3 couples, 2 single males and 2 single females.  (One couple, D. Mangham and N. Seikman are traveling independently on other flights - Norm is not part of the Ilula Health Group, he is representing Iringa Hope, but will use their bus transportation to travel to Iringa.)

Medical MIssion Trip work continues for 1st group.  O/N Ilula. 

Second Group (8)  arrives in Dar Es Salaam on flight Delta Codeshare 9349 at  10:45 p.m  (The other couple, Norm and Deb arrive earlier on PW761 at 1:45 p.m.  They will find their own transportation to Wista’s.)   Group of 10 O/N Wista’s.  (Reservations for 3 doubles, 2 twin rooms for 2 nights confirmed by Nixon on 12/8/2018)

Medical MIssion Trip work continues for 1st group.  O/N Ilula.

Saturday,    January 26
Medical MIssion Trip work continues for 1st group.  O/N Ilula. 

Second Group travels from DAR through Ilula to Iringa. K. Hurley, C. Cherukuri, and Dudeks are dropped off in Ilula.  Two travelers (S. Moburg and L. Pratt) will stay at TLC until the first group leaves Ilula.  Two single rooms as their accommodations were confirmed by Tuti on October 17th - for January 26-31, and reconfirmed with Tuti on December 28.  Ken and Birdie Olson to stay in BKB Apartment A3 in Iringa - D. Mangham and N. Siekman to stay in BKB Iringa Hope apartment. Dinner at TLC for 6 persons first night in Iringa also confirmed by Tuti (S. Moburg, L. Pratt, D. Mangham, N. Siekman K and B Olson.)  
Sunday,      January 27
Sabbath, some dedicated time provided for rest and reflection.  Worship for most in Ilula in a.m.  Final prep for Ilula-Minnesota International Healthcare Conference. Room accommodations at TLC continue for two.
Monday,     January 28
Both groups attend the Sixth Annual Ilula-Minnesota International Healthcare Conference in Iringa.  Most O/N in Ilula.  Room accommodations at TLC continue for two.
Tuesday,     January 29
Both groups continue to attend the Sixth Annual Ilula-Minnesota International Healthcare Conference in Iringa.  Most O/N in Ilula.  Room accommodations at TLC continue for two.
Wednesday, January 30
Final day of mission work at Ilula for faculty of group 1.  Goodbyes and final follow-ups accomplished.  Most O/N in Ilula.  Room accommodations at TLC continue for two. 
Hurley’s likely to travel to Tungamalenga independently to visit partnered parish church friends there.
Thursday,    January 31
Check out of TLC for 2.   Birdie and Ken Olson to remain in Iringa.   If there is a need for excess luggage storage for the 2 who stayed at TLC, it can be stored with Birdie and Ken. 
Drs. Kvasnicka is the designated leader of the combined Tunga / safari travel group. 19 persons (from the combined groups) travel to Tungamalenga.  Arrive for Lunch / tea with Lutheran church members.  In the afternoon, visit the church and tour the dispensary.   O/N Tungamalenga Lodge.  Travel Coordinator confirmed accommodations and half board atTunga Lodge at $55 per person,  starting with dinner on January 31th and ending with breakfast the following morning.  19 total persons; combination of twin, triple and / or quad rooms requested for 10 single females - 3 double rooms for 3 couples - and 1 triple for 3 single males also confirmed.  (Confirmed initially for 21 persons by Dickson, 10/25/2018, and reconfirmed with final number at 19 on December 28)

A couple group 1 members may begin independent travel back to the US. 

Hurley’s return independently to Iringa, O/N TLC.  Reservation for 1 double room for Hurleys on January 31 confirmed by Tuti on December 28.
Friday,      February 1
Following breakfast at Tunga Lodge, tour a nearby Maasai village.  Group of 19 continue travel to Ruaha National Park for safari experience.  1 game drive late afternoon, first meal dinner, O/N Mwagusi. 

(Hurley’s fly from Iringa to DAR and begin flights back to US.  They leave from DAR on Delta 9349 at 11:55 p.m.) 
Saturday, February 2
Safari experience for 18 continues with 2 game drives, first an early morning drive with breakfast in the bush and second is a late afternoon drive, O/N Mwagusi. 
(Exception - Dr. Kvasnicka checks out, is transported to Ruaha airport - leaving on Coastal flight from Ruaha airstrip at 11:45 a.m. to begin flights to US) 
(M. Madalon, who is not going on safari, leaves on this date for the US from Iringa to DAR via Auric Air 174 at 10:30 a.m.  Reservation for Auric flight made by Tatanca, included on second invoice.)
(Hurley’s arrive back in US at 1:05 p.m.)
Sunday,     February 3
Safari experience concludes with mid morning game drive following breakfast; game drive will end near entrance gate where Tatanca bus picks up group.  Two group members (Beck and Vivant) fly out of Ruaha airport on Auric Air 174, leaving at 9:45 a.m., and their morning safari experience will end at the runway.  Box lunches ordered for 16 for return bus ride to Ilula.  Bus to pick up any excess luggage left in Iringa on return drive to Ilula.  All O/N Ilula. 


Monday,   February 4
Remaining group 1 members fly from Iringa to DAR for flights back to the US or other destinations on their way home. (Dudeks are on Auric 174 at 10:30 a.m. from Iringa to DAR.)

Tuesday,   February 5
Remainder of Group 1 faculty arrive back in MN; their mission trip is complete. 

DIRA Overview at Diocese Headquarters in Iringa at 9 a.m.  (Independent ground transportation arrangements for this half day trip to Iringa will be determined by Dr. Olson after arrival in Tanzania.)  Group 2 continues Medical Mission Trip work, O/N Ilula

The remaining group 2 members begin their travels back to the US.  They will either leave Ilula via ground transportation or fly from Iringa to DAR airport.  7 persons are scheduled to use ground transportation back to DAR and overnight there.  O/N Wista’s.  Reservation confirmed for 1 double, 1 twin and 1 triple on 12/17 by Nixon.  
Thursday, February 14
Some group 2 mission trip members may arrive back in US or move on to Zanzibar for a couple days of independent travel there.  The 7 who O/N at Wista’s in DAR on February 13 will have a final day in DAR and await a late night flight to AMS.
Friday,       February 15
Those of Group 2 not traveling independently to other locations arrive in US.  Medical MIssion trip complete.
